Insurance coverage
Health Savings Account / Flexible Spending Account
The IRS has ruled that medically-supervised ketamine treatment (infusion, IM or oral) for a diagnosed condition qualifies as an eligible medical expense - so you can pay with pre-tax HSA or FSA dollars. Spravato copays and coinsurance are obviously eligible. Psilocybin services are not eligible because psilocybin is federally illegal regardless of state program status.

What the plan requires
- Documented diagnosis from licensed prescriber (Letter of Medical Necessity).
- Use your HSA/FSA card or pay out of pocket and file for reimbursement.
Practical tips
- Ask your clinic for an itemized superbill with ICD-10 and CPT codes - this is what substantiates the expense.
- HSA accounts roll over year to year; FSA accounts do not (use-it-or-lose-it).
Providers accepting HSA / FSA
Always confirm in-network status with both the clinic and your plan before your first session.
No verified providers currently list HSA / FSA. This can mean the plan is typically self-pay, or that we have not yet surfaced plan acceptance - check back as we expand clinic onboarding.
